Exchange of Notes between the Government of the kingdom of Morocco and the Government of Japan.

Mr. Khalid SAFIR, Secretary General of the Ministry of Economy and Finance and Mr. Toshinori Yanagiya, Ambassador plenipotentiary of Japan in Rabat, signed Friday, July 29th 2011, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Economy and Finance the exchange of notes between the government of the kingdom of Morocco and the Government of Japan.

According to this event, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) signed two Japanese ODA loan agreements, in order to attenuate regional disparities and reduce poverty through rural infrastructure and access to safe water, one with the Fund for Financing Road of the Kingdom of Morocco to provide a loan of up to 5.981 billion yen (583 millions DH) for the Rural Road Improvement Project (II); and the other with the National Office of drinking water (ONEP) of the Kingdom of Morocco to provide a loan of up to 17.44 billion yen (1,7 milliards DH) for assistance for the Fez and Meknes Regions Water Supply Project.

On this occasion, The Secretary General welcomed the level and quality of cooperation relations between Morocco and the Japan .

The signing ceremony was attended by the Secretary General in the Ministry of transportation and equipment (MET), the Secretary General in the Ministry of Energy, Mine, Water and Environment , the General Director of the National Office of drinking water (ONEP) and the Director of the Fund for Financing Road (CFR).
