Signing of the financing agreement to set up vocational training centres in the automotive sector amounting to 20 million euros

Mr. Abdeltif LOUDYI, Secretary General of the Ministry of Economy and Finance and Mr. Dov Zerah, CEO of the French Development Agency (AFD), signed, Monday, September 20th 2010, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the financing agreement concerning the project of setting up vocational training centres in the automotive sector, with an amount of 20 million euros.

Took part in this ceremony, Mr. Bruno JOUBERT, Ambassador of France in Rabat, Mr. Jamal ARHMANI, Minister of Employment and Vocational Training, and Mr. Ahmed Chami, Minister of Industry, Trade and New Technologies

The aforementioned project is about the creation of two automotive Training Institute for suppliers located in Kenitra and Tangier as well as an automotive trades training centre in Tangier for the manufacturer Renault and its subcontractors. Thus, it fits perfectly into the government strategy to improve the competitiveness of Moroccan automotive sector and promote its development by qualifying human resources.

After the ceremony, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Economy and Finance and His Excellency the Ambassador of France in Rabat welcomed the quality and intensity of traditional and multifaceted relations that Morocco and France have, and reaffirmed their commitment to work towards strengthening them.
