The Department of Public Enterprises and Privatization (DEPP) ) of the Ministry of Economy and Finance received January 26th 2010 a delegation of the Inspectorate General of Finance of the Republic of Ivory Coast so as to make inquires about the Moroccan experience in public enterprises` governance.
The Ivorian delegation, composed of twelve members, was headed by Mr. Kofi YAPI Bernardin, Inspector General of Finance.
This meeting was an opportunity for the delegation to learn about the organization and functions of the DEPP, the Moroccan experience in terms of sector restructuring and contractual relationships between the State and Public Enterprises, the delegated management of public services and public-private partnerships as well as the conduct of sectoral reforms with a focus on the housing sector.
Several themes were discussed during the meeting and were mainly concerned with the organization of the DEPP, the financial control application, the DEPP role in reforming the housing sector and the social impact of this reform.
After the meeting, representatives of the Ivorian delegation thanked the DEPP Director and officials for the quality and richness of the presentations and the information provided.
