Mr. MEZOUAR meets with Mr.  José Manuel Soria, Vice-President of the Canary Islands government.

Mr. Salah Eddine Mezouar, Minister of Economy and Finance, met with José Manuel Soria, Vice-President of the Canary Island government on Thursday April 30th, 2009 at the ministry. &é"`

Mr. Mezouar and Mr. Soria expressed their satisfaction with the good standard of cooperation between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Kingdom of Spain, particularly the government of the Canary Islands.

Mr. Mezouar highlighted the geographic and cultural proximity existing between Morocco and the Canary Islands. He suggested that such proximity be exploited to further develop cooperation between the archipelago and the Southern Moroccan provinces.

Mr. Mezouar called for developing economic relations through intensifying commercial exchange, promoting Canary investment in Morocco and consolidating partnership between Moroccan and Canary Islands enterprises.

Mr. Mezouar and Mr. Soria expressed their readiness to work together to consolidate cooperation and partnership between the two countries.
