In his address to the nation on the 55th Anniversary of the Revolution of the King and the Nation, His Majesty King Mohammed IV urged public authorities to maintain the implementation of the current fiscal system to agriculture until the end of 2013.
As of the financial year 2014, an appropriate gradual fiscal system will be implemented for the Agriculture sector. The government is therefore called upon to set up a tax system that is based on principles of fiscal fairness, social solidarity and protection of competitiveness of this sector, His Majesty emphasized.
His Majesty also stated that this fiscal system should take into account the social vulnerability of small farmers, reflect the importance of social solidarity towards them while continuing subsidy of farming activities with low Agriculture yield.
