Exchange facilities for Moroccan students studying abroad
Moroccan students planning to carry on with their university, secondary school or college studies, or to train abroad, must domicile their file at a bank, post office, or Treasury branch, so as to be entitled to benefit from the exchange advantages provided to them by the regulations in force.
This formality is required only once for the whole study period of the student, with a stamp affixed on the student’s passport and detailing the handling branch or office’s references, the mention “studies abroad domiciliation”, the domiciliation date, and the student’s national identity card number.
The domiciliation becomes effective with the handling branch or office opening a “studies abroad” file to monitor transfers.
The domiciliation of a study file facilitates the allocation of the “departure- allowance”, and ensures the timely transfer of funds necessary for financing studies abroad: tuition fees, living expenses, rent and charges, computer purchase, student-loan payment, and expenses for training abroad.
